This past Saturday I attended one of my dear friends wedding... Erlinda. Question for you Erlinda, will you come back to the blogger world now that you are done with plate settings and flower arrangements? I hope so!

The wedding was beautiful and romantic. The perfect words to describe the bride. The groom was super fly, it was sort of ridiculous!

I had the honor of making the bridesmaids earrings, and the maid of honor's brooch, as well as the bride's headpiece for the reception. Because its Erlinda and K, the pieces are not what you would expect at a wedding, and that is why I was so excited to make them! :-)

After the wedding photoshoot. lol.

The wedding was tons of fun, and it was such a great feeling to see MAYZANI Jewels going down the aisle. :-)

Hot Air Ballooning

So.. last year, I rode a hot air balloon, and it was amazeling. For an hour you are floating in the air at different levels and seeing all kinds of random things.. like people's backyards (purple and yellow basketball court - decided this is Snoop Doggs house), or Bugs Bunny, Water, everything.

It is official. I am the world's worst blogger. I apologize, which seems to happen every couple months on here.. you know.. basically everytime I blog again. *embarassed*.. So here goes.. a couple weeks ago, a friend, Debbie Woo launched her amazing clothing collection, Vintage Liberty. She organized an area for other artists to exhibit their artwork, cake-pops and in our case, jewelry. Here was our lil pop-up.

Road Trip for Bon Jovi

I recently took a weekend trip that included gallivanting from Oregon to Seattle to Vancouver all for Bon Jovi. Yes, Bon Jovi. My cousins and I had casually talked about doing this trip for over a year, and within seconds I was in Vancouver rocking out to one of the greatest bands of all time. It was such an amazing time, and all the cities I ended up in on the way made the trip that much more amazeling! My cousins, 3 burly males, are THE BEST roadtrip partners EVER!

Carved Wood and Carved Leather tell a story...

I recently made a trip to Oregon and on the way to my cousin's place I saw "GOODWILL SUPERSTORE"... It was imperative that I make it there before I go back to Los Angeles... OR ELSE...

I had 10 minutes to shop because I had to rush to catch my flight, and I found these AMAZELING pieces!

This purse is carved leather, made in Mexico. It has 3 separate compartments inside and the front and back of the purse is identical with a secret zipper pocket. I LOVE purses with compartments, and I LOVE that the front and back are identical.. I hate having to consciously wear my purse on my arm where you can see the FRONT instead of the boring back side. $6 Dollars!

This belt is ALSO carved leather. It's such a beautiful belt!

The carvings tell a story of a horse running through the woods. (at least that's what I got out of it)

All these CARVED PIECES reminded me of a very beautiful part of my culture, the art of carving wood to tell a story. The final results are called Itaboris, or storyboards. This was introduced to Belau by the Japanese during their occupation in the island. The people of Belau are naturally GREAT story tellers. On top of that, carving wood has been a means of survival from the very beginning of time. It only seemed natural that they would take this craft and make it a very distinct element of our culture. The storyboards tell different Palauan stories, and are beautiful additions to any home or office.

This is an example of a Palauan storyboard. Wood generally used is ironwood, or dort in the Palauan language. If you ever visit Palau, don't leave without a storyboard! They come in all sizes!

Art is universal. Live it.

Eddie, a very stylish fashionista, celebrated his birthday this past April 1st, and wanted MAYZANI Shoulder Epaulets as a part of his birthday look. When celebrating a birthday, your outfit is probably #1 to anything else, so I was really very honored that he wanted the pieces!! :-)

I made the pieces without the chains, and they looked GREAT with the ensemble he put together!

He sent me a few pictures, and I couldn't pick which ones, so I decided to share most of them with you. :-) He rocked the hell out of his outfit!!!

Thrifting with Amanda

My friend Amanda and I go on these thrifting dates every once in a while. Today, my favorite community thrift store was closed... why would they close on Sundays?! We ended up at Helen's Antiques in old town Covina. I found these AMAZELING shoes, but they were too small. :-(

If you want these shoes, go to Helen's Antique's in old town Covina. It is on Badillo, cross street is Citrus. I believe they are a size 6.5 or so. SO LOVELY! I'm super bummed they don't fit me. :-(

A wardrobe stylist, and now a dear friend. :-) She introduced me to the world of Wardrobe Styling, and for that I am grateful. In December of 2009, her boo love, proposed! I have searched high and low for my copy of Zooey Magazine's October 2010 Issue so I could show you the MAYZANI pieces featured in it.. of course I found it in the middle of moving.

Lyndzi Trang (uber fashionista and creative director of Zooey) styled this editorial. I had the pleasure of going along for the fun, and ended up using MAYZANI pieces in the shoot!

The Earrings Madison is wearing were a result of not knowing what to do with all these Zipper Pulls I had from something else I was working on. Voila, earrings. :-)

Actress Amanda Schull from One Tree Hill and Anneliese Van Der Pol from That's So Raven

The necklace Amanda was wearing was made with scraps of fabric I had, and pieces of wood I collected at a park while babysitting my niece.

The ring Anneliese is wearing is a piece of Coral that was collected from the sandy shores of Belau and given to me. :-)

The shoot was tons of fun! It was a pleasure working with Amanda, Anneliese and Madison! They are beautiful, and their energy was spread throughout the shoot. It was a good day. :-)

All Star Girlie Events, Flea Markets and Sushi

Last week L.A. was swarming with basketball lovers, basketballer's lovers and BALL-LOVERS (groupies), all here for the ALL-STAR games. Excuse my derogatory approach.

This past Saturday, Gabrielle Union hosted an exclusive Beauty Suite at the famed Warren Tricomi Salon. The event was co-hosted by Emmy Award-winning hairstylist Kiyah Wright. I was invited to the event, but in true Libra fashion, I made it only for the last 30 minutes. Gabrielle Union looked beautiful! The salon was tight in space and crowded, mingling was difficult because every two seconds you were being asked to move out the way!

We scored a goodie bag full of Neutrogena Make-Up, China Glaze Nailpolish, and a Yoga DVD. LOVE FREE STUFF! (no shame.)

Afterwards, we decided to stop by the Melrose Trading Post and have a look-see. $2 lets you in, and it's nothing but walking and shopping and even eating at that point.

LOVE this cropped Studded Biker Jacket. It was $100 though. I'm too cheap for that.

It even had FRINGE sleeves!

If you dont wear fur, you could always cut it up and use it as accent rugs. That's what I would do... and I only like FAUX FUR!!!!

Brooquets.

I have never been the little girl who dreamed of a wedding, and even today as an adult, it's not something that I even think about. My idea of a wedding is a backyard bbq.... with strings of lights from tree to tree, a long table of food buffet style and dancing barefoot. Not the perfect little girl fantasy. OH.. BUT... if my groom could sing.. and sang me a song he wrote to the strum of his guitar.. well.. that would be my fantasy.

I was carousing through etsy, and stumbled upon these BROOQUETS (bouquets made of brooches) made by a professional floral designer named Amanda Heer and immediately thought of Erlinda.. and possibly my backyard bbq wedding.

These brooquets totally reminded me of her DIY wedding that she has been sweatin and slavin for.. not because she can't have someone do the work for her, but because being an artist herself, she LOVES to create.. and why not CREATE your dream wedding!

She also makes these Broosages! (Corsage made with Brooches) I would have loves this for Senior Prom many moons ago!

She makes Brooutaneirs as well! (Boutonnieres made of Brooches).

Mayzani DIY Bow

Hello Ya'll!

Last October I was asked by VampD Magazine to contribute a DIY project for their Anniversary Issue.

I decided to create a little bow that is versatile enough to be a hair accessory, a broach, a bowtie or basically placed anywhere you'd like.

Bows are so easy to make, and so inexpensive if you just use scraps of stuff you have lying around.

After I created this bow, Lyndzi and I styled the Celebrity Pink Jeans Campaign, and the bow ended up in one of the final shots.

Mazel in Ghana

Hello World.

My blogs all relate to MAYZANI, because after all, this is MAYZANI's vehicle.. and I'm just the key to the ignition, but I'm going to park MAYZANI for just a second and talk about myself. (that wasn't narcissist AT ALL.)

My name is Mazel. I am a girl from a small island called Belau. I am one of 20,000 people and growing up, I never imagined the life I would have to be as surreal as it has been these past few years.

Most of you do not know, but although MAYZANI is my baby, I work for an amazing Jewellery Company called TEBAZILE INC. TEBAZILE is a collection of eclectic jewellery designs inspired by ethnic textures and native culture, creating bold pieces.

The collection is quite beautiful, and working for the company has been a really exciting learning experience for me.

TEBAZILE is based out of Los Angeles, but has a store in Accra, Ghana. This past December, I had the amazing opportunity to fly out to Ghana to help orchestrate a couple events and open a new store for our latest line, TEBI JEWELS - a young, fun, trend-focused jewelry collection. What was meant to be a 7 days trip, turned into a 21 days adventure, from the beginning to the end!

My bucket list is filled with goals, and Africa was definitely one of them. Never did I think it would happen so soon! I was VERY excited! I didn't know what to expect, and had no expectations. I just went with an open-mind and mind-opening it was!

I could write about every single day because every single day has been etched deeply in my memory, but I won't do that to you. I'll just let the pictures tell the story. :-)


The VERY FIRST indication that Ghana and I were going to get along JUST fine... my favorite mango. Took me back to 10 yrs old, climbing mango trees in Saipan with my Sherri Berri.

Ladies and Gents, allow me to introduce Mr. Ricky Rozay! 2nd night in Africa, and I am taken to a Rick Ross Concert. Of course being totally un-cool, my rap went along the lines of "Watermelon Watermelon, LARRY HOOVVAAA, watermelon watermelon Under God, watermelon watermelon from the watermelon watermelon." Yeah. A MESS. They LOVE HIM! I was being shoved out of my seat at this concert!

My Fawzzersss! Integration. :-)

Our first event was a collaboration with A.F.U.A. We had 4 models dressed in black unitards, showcasing Tebazile Jewellery in different sections of Bella Roma - an Italian Restaurant/Club in Osu. We literally casted our models, fitted them in their unitards, did their hair/makeup and bejewelled them all in less than 24 hours. GO TEAM!

New Year's Eve at none other than Purple Pub with my lovely ladies, Maami and Yaz.

Now I'm back in LA... remembering that patience will get me through these hours of traffic.

So a few months ago, Lyndzi Trang (that amazing woman I talk about often) directed and styled cover/editorial for Zooey Magazine's October Issue. I tagged along and helped where I could.. more like.. wrote on hundreds of post-it notes with the sunny Sonny and played. MAYZANI pieces were featured in the shoot as well... I just can't find the dang magazine so I can post the pics.

I have seriously neglected this poor blog and for that I sincerely apologize... to those who follow.. and to this web portal that allows me to give you a little bit of what's in my head.

HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY NEW YEAR! 2011 has started off AMAZELINGLY for me! I started the new year in Accra, Ghana - a lil city in a lil country in the big continent of Africa! More about that later....

I had lunch with the beautiful Lyndzi Trang - aka AWESOME WARDROBE STYLIST, CREATIVE DIRECTOR of ZOOEY MAGAZINE, Fashionista, Entrepreneur, bff, etc etc.. and she presented me with my very own copy of ZOOEY MAGAZINE's DEC/JAN issue. She worked on this magazine from dual-cover to core, and she did a phenomenal job! (as to be expected.. cuz she's that dope.) Inside is an editorial that features a MAYZANI + HOK exclusive. :-) I'm pretty proud of it - even though you can't exactly see what it is.. which is to our benefit since we haven't unveiled this secret project we are working on, it's fun to see our names printed together. TEAM MAYZANI + HOK! :-)

When Times Change, make a Ring.

With this Fall Back time change thing I decided, I could stay up late since I can sleep in.... hmph... not a chance.. but staying up doing nothing led me to creating something... and that something is MY TAKE on a wire ring.

Most wire rings are made with pretty beads and are very traditional. I myself am not a very traditional person, so of course I created something else.

I've never sold wire jewelry because I don't have formal training in wire wrapping, and there's something about the edges of wires that scare me. I just don't want to get a complaint letter saying I didn't cut the ends correctly and someone got hurt! Worse nightmare!

Anyways, I've had wire laying around for years.. and thought I'd give it a shot.

TOP VIEW: The Final Product was this crazy wire ring with my Palauan Nickname.

My favorite part is, because the alphabet beads are printed on all 4 sides (most of em are made that way), you can read BAUB from top and wearer's side view. :-)

There's that side view again.

I used a 20 gauge wire which was pretty difficult and painful, but sturdier for the band. I only created one band instead of making this a double-band ring because I feel like I can't do anything wearing double-band rings, one band gives more flexibility.

These gold alphabet beads I've had for YEARS! I thought I'd put em to use.

Just a different take on a wire ring is all.

Gadgets for the Win!

I am not really a GADGET-y person, but when I want something, I'm sort of obsessed with it. Right now, I am really into the 3M Camcorder Projector Shoot 'n Share. This thing is amazing! You can record, and play the videos using the projector against a flat white surface... i mean.. UHHHH MAZELING!!!

and it's cute too!

Dont Tell Mom the Babysitters Dead

Do you remember this movie? It came out in 1991, when I was just 3-4 years old. I remember LOVING it as a child. I was so fascinated by Christina Applegate's beauty and style! As a child I always imagined myself creating things and presenting my creations, and watching EVERYONE fall in love with what I was doing. Call it what you want, but I say that's ambition! This movie was such a great depiction of being young, ambitious and all at the same time, loving and caring for your family. I find that in this business, people often are so wrapped up with keeping up with the next best thing that family comes after. I on the other hand can't see myself enjoying my success if I didn't have my family right there with me. I loved that this movie was not only about thinking on your toes and being ahead of the game, but that it was also about being ahead of the game to take care of your family. I mean, my ladder to success has to be wide enough for my entire family to climb up with me!

You know how tourists spots always have random souvenirs? Well, someone went to Palau (my home) and bought this nail clipper for me years ago. Well, the nail clipper didn't last forever, it's missing the other half, but the important part is, I kept the piece that says Palauan Legends on it, with the lil fish pic. D.I.Y. Fringe Scarf

HELLO! I worked out today... i hate working out.. but, I WANT ABS.. the whole time I was doing the "ab-ripper" I kept thinking of this purple tye-dye t-shirt I used to have that I cut into a midriff tank, but NEVER wear because I am just not okay with my belly... you wouldn't be either if I put that lil tank on.. well i LOVE the purple tye-dye and know I won't ever wear the tank... so after my workout.. this is what I turned it into..

INSTRUCTIONS: The neck of this scarf is one of the armholes of a tank.. so literally, take a tank top, use one of the armholes as the neck, and then cut the rest of the tank top into shreds, then after you do that, play around with it until it falls the way you like. It can be fringed and waterfalled the way I have it, or more rounded and not all over the place - it really can be worn however way you set it!

I also sewed random buttons in there, but my mac-cam didn't show that too well!

This took me 5 minutes! It's perfect with Fall/Winter creeping up so soon!

I am not really a handbag person, I just want it comfortable to carry, and big enough to fit everything in (wallet, phone, camera, scissors, gun... the bit)... I usually go the vintage route, or the hand-me-down direction.. but I am in love with these Coach Poppy Sequins Bags.

I showed my mom these bags and she said, "oh wow, it's like... sunshine." So my voice escaped through my lips in a descant of "you are my sunshineeee... you're my mooonnnlighttttt." I now realize that my favorite Lupe Fiasco song was really meant for these handbags. How appropriate.

GOLD. I love gold. So of course when I was on the hunt for a laptop sleeve, I NEEDED a Gold one. I googled for days to no success, so I said, "EFF IT, I'LL MAKE MY OWN!".

Of course aside from protection, I wanted something pretty. I happened to have gold sequins fabric lying around that I haven't gotten a chance to use, so I knew then and there that I would have a gold sequins laptop sleeve. :-)

I hand-sewed each individual sequin across top, sides and bottom for a secure hold.

My battle would. I have a love/super hate relationship with pins! - Thats my knee area.

Chanel Channeling 1955

The photo below is of my grandmother, aunts and uncles in 1955. The picture is black and white, but I assume the wardrobe was clean and crisp in whites and pastel.

Upon seeing this photo, I immediately thought of Chanel's Spring 2010 Couture Collection, in which Mr. Lagerfeld steered clear from his signature use of Black, Navy and Gold
Buttons, and used whites, silvers and pastels.

This collection was stunning! It oozed an impeccable amount of handwork... and I am an avid lover of handwork.

This collection has been described as "futuristic", which Mr. Lagerfeld replies to by saying, "I don't believe in avant-garde clothes for a future that will never happen. Fashion is always now."

So isn't it ironic that his "present-futuristic looking" collection is what I thought of when I saw a vintage photo from 1955?

I love the way life, past and present, always seem to correlate when you pay just enough attention.

One of my favorite things to do is find new music. I am constantly uploading people's itunes into my ipod because chances are I will attain music by an artist I have never heard of - ipod shuffle should be renamed - IPod SURPRISE. I love surprises.

My new favorite is MELODY GARDOT.

Her story is fascinating. It is a true testament on how music withholds the power to heal all wounds. I actually read her story when I picked up this months ELLE(featured so many different musicians - I LOVED IT!) and I can certainly say I have fallen in love with her.

Can we pretend that airplanes....

in the night sky.. are like shooting starsssssssss.

When I hear this song, I can't help but think of this one night.. as a child, it seemed like this large vast world was so out of reach... but believing in the world's integrity seemed so natural and thoughtless that you just knew making a wish on a shooting store meant your wish will come true.

That night I was 12, my friend and I were walking down my street and suddenly this shooting star zoomed across the night sky... what did I wish for? "I wish Michael Salas becomes my boyfriend." -- the next day at school... guess who became my boyfriend? TRUE STORY.

No offense to Michael (obviously the romance was short-lived -- couldn't even look at each other the whole entire relationship)... but dang.. I wish I wished for something - for lack of better words - better!

So the other day.. as an adult.. listening to songs about airplanes and shooting stars.. I thought.. I should make a paper plane.. then realized "oh shit.. i forgot how to make paper planes!"

so instead.. I made a necklace for my beautiful niece, who is 4yrs old, inspired by.. non other than being a child, making paper airplanes and wishing on shooting stars.

That really took me back to the day....

Earthquakes and Books

So once again, California experienced a baby earthquake, and our news channels won't stop talking about it. I was sitting on my bed talking on the phone when suddenly everything was rocking.. all I could think of was... "well, its not that bad, but if that book case fell on my head, I'd be doomed."

So then I thought... man... I really need to get good books... I have a lot of Magazines and random 75% off clearance Barnes and Nobles books.. granted, I have found some amazing books, and magazines I will always love... BUT..

If a bookcase is going to topple over my head.. I want it to contain the following books:

I must admit, I didn't know who this woman was until after watching the September Issue, and I fell in love with her character, her style, but most of all her genius. If you have picked up any issue of Vogue over the last 30 years, then I am sure you have fell in love with something she put her hands on. Not to mention, she makes big hair cool.. and growing up.. I prayed that big hair will be cool so I wouldn't have to grease my hair into flatness. Thank you Grace.

I wanted this book so bad when it came out, and I asked my mom to get it for me for Christmas... but instead she bought a Laker book for my ex boyfriend saying that was more important and he needed it. *HUMPH!* I love Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen's sense of fashion - the fact that they made their money one way and consumed their beings into something else and be amazing at it - i mean... influenced!

Who doesn't love shoes? In this book, Jonathan Walford explores the closets of the world over the last 400 years, revealing the styles and fashion that have driven this centuries long obsession!

My love for vintage started in community thrift stores - those Domino's Pizza checks in high school couldn't get me the "hottest, trendiest things" so I opted for the "noone has this anymore and it is only 50 cents look." That eventually led to the appreciation of decades of creation. This book explains every important detail about fashion of certain decades, key designers and everything in between.

This is my cousin Chatt and I in our "SOUAMOK" - a sualu(coconut leave woven basket)/hammock. My grandmother wove the basket and my grandfather hung it up! Thank you Mamang and Bapa! Random D.I.Y. Project - Black/Gold

So one day I went to Target and got these Men's Oxford Dress Shoes size 12 for $15, some gold spray paint for $2 and a roll of paint tape and did this for a shoot... Sadly, the pics from the shoot didn't do the shoe justice, so here are my personal pics!! 

That poor bench got spprraaayyyedd... Okay what I am wearing.. 

Top: $1 vintage Lace Top (can be found at goodwill in West of Covina- i constantly give clothes away!)
Shoes: BOOTS ARE ALSO FROM TARGET for $11! YES! (as Sawai would say.. BOOTS BOOTS BOOTS!!)
Pants: are some random brand from Macys (quick story: I used to do visuals at Macys, and one day I bent over to pick up a mannequin and the ass of my jeans completely tore.... like all the way.. so I had to buy those black pants for i think $11 too [i see a pattern here].. and ironic enough, these same black pants tore in the ass as well.. hmm.. gym time?) 

TADA!  I miss that gold Swatch watch I am wearing.. i need to get that back.. LB, can I have it back pleaseeeeE??

So.. now I need to find a boyfriend to give these shoes to.. size 12.  hmmm.. anyone?... :-)

My dear friend and fabulous wardrobe stylist "Erlinda Denise" was my very first customer (that wasn't a friend or family member). After she drove 40 miles to meet me for the "YUKO" earrings, we instantly became good friends. I mean, how can you not be friends with someone who loves your work so much she drives "out of town" (really it's the same county, but for some reason the further EAST you go the more out of town you are according to native Los Angelinos.) Okay, let me not completely go off track.. she recently styled a photoshoot and used the "YUKO" earrings she went on a mission for.

Random Jewel Pieces Overtime

I was looking through my harddrive and found these pictures of pieces I created on random nights... 4am.. cup of coffee... gaining weight.. gaining wisdom.. or maybe that was delusion.. well anyways.. this is what came out of those nights..

This glove was so random.. somewhere in 2008, and my friend Jiji lost it. What a jerk.

This one was really random... again in 2008.. the large zipper was found in a $1 bin somewhere.. The chains were found at the local community thrift store.. and voila.. a ziplace. In this pic, its unfinished.. but I did finish it.. then I took it apart and made something else. What that is? Yo no se.

Now I need to find pictures of the wayyyy back then creations.

Always Dancing

This entry is pointless, and you will probably wonder why the hell I even bothered, BUT, its 4am, and this is what's on my mind.

I LOVE to dance.. I am always dancing... I'm that sober chick in the middle of the dance floor when it's empty. That's me. I always have my hair down at the beginning of the night, and 30 minutes later, it's in a bun because I just sweated my hair out on the dance floor! So I found some pictures of me dancing, and thought I would share. LOL.

Jiji's 24th Birthday Gift

Mayzani Military Necklace

Last year I made a Military Inspired Necklace. I LOVE this necklace. I think it's fun, and it's an alternative to wearing a Military Jacket or Vest. Instead of buying one jacket and wearing it a couple times, you could wear this necklace with different things, from Jackets, to tees to tanks.

Anyways, I had loaned it to someone and didn't get it back for months! So now that I have it back, I am abusing it and wearing it out a lot. i had to wear black one day, and thought I'd break up the bore with it. Here's a pic.

VINTAGE PHOTOS

I have a love for as one friend put it, "OLD STUFF".. and some of my favorite "OLD STUFF" are vintage pictures.. especially ones of my family! So, I think I will start sharing random pictures from time to time to satisfy whoever loves Vintage Photos as much as I do!

I will start with a picture of my mother from the very early 90's. This picture was taken at Banzai Cliff in the Nothern Mariana Island of Saipan where i grew up. My mother was so hip with her shades and afro. :-) Check out my cousin Jesse with his denim button up, and cuffed jeans. Ohhhh how fashion revives!

I wanted to add the picture below of me and my siblings.. My Glasses look just like my mothers.. except they were bought 20 years later!

DISFunksion - Shannon Elizabeth - MAYZANI

For the past few months, I have been waiting patiently(and i say this loosely) for the release of DISFunkshion Magazine's January issue, which I styled and used MAYZANI Jewelry for around the end of Summer 2009.

I styled the cover featuring, actress, Shannon Elizabeth. I got a parking ticket that day for $60 (damn Los Angeles meter maids), but the experience was one for the books! It was shot in a beautiful (on the inside) Studio in Echo Park, and my friend who played assistant that day and I had fabulous tacos across the street.

After months of no communication on what picture was going to be on the cover, I have to say, I am pretty damn pleased that they used a picture with MAYZANI earrings. So here you go:

BYE BYE STYLING

Last week, after a lot of time alone, a lot of thinking and a lot of prayer, I decided, I am retiring as a stylist and moving forward with MAYZANI Jewelry.

The Genesis of Mayzani

Labor Day Weekend 2008, I had my wisdom teeth removed. YUCK. Thankfully I wasn't in severe pain and was able to attend The Hundreds Block Party, but I was SWOLLEN. So, I made these huge earrings in an effort to COVER my swelling. Little did I know, these earrings were gonna be the PUSH I need to start a jewelry line. I was walking down the lil alley, and this chick Randi runs up to me like she's gonna eat me, asking about my earrings. We exchanged contact and she linked me with Erlinda - a fabulous wardrobe stylist who has become one of my good friends. Erlinda ended up being my first customer.

DEM SHOULDER PADS

So, a few years ago, my friends cousin says along the lines.. "you guys are weird.. why dont you do this? Why dont you make shoulder pads to sit on your shoulders and like wear a tube dress or something?" HMMMM.. She didn't realize, by saying that, she was going to jump start my life!!!

It took me a while, but one day at home, I decided... she's a damn genius... sat with my parents in their bedroom, watched Forensic Files.. and made those damn shoulder pads!

Let me take you on the journey...
